Happy New Year 2007!! Whoo~ I really hope this year will be a prosperous year for me in terms of IA, studies, finance and love! Haa am I too greedy? I don't expect alot.. juz hope me and my family/friends can be happy and healthy! 2006 has been good and bad but it'z all over le. Looking forward to good things coming~ At the same time, realising that I am getting older doesn help. Well, we all have to grow up.. that'z part and parcel of life. I have a strong acceptance and embrace towards life! I believe life is too short for regret. Many things are not within our control but as long as we make the effort to change, it is fine whatever the outcome.
So well, the past tue I went Beth'z bday party at her house. I guess this can be considered really for her bday. We still had fun. Beth'z bro, sis and mum(her mum was really onz!) were really creative in coming up with wacky games to embarrass us! not forgetting trying to create amorous atmosphere for others! lol.. I think we made too much noise at the corridor but hey, it'z beth'z bday! We also chatted abt many things and only went home at 11.15pm.

rare meet-up wif winnie / Thursday, December 21, 2006
the past tue irene n i went to meet up with my long time fren winnie.. I remb winnie is the first fren i got 2 know in sec sch. All of us were showed our classroom during orientation then winnie came and asked if she could sit beside me. And the rest is history.. Our friendship has undergone many ups and downs, it is amazing that we can still pretty much tok like before.
I meet up with winnie first coz irene has work until 6pm. So we shopped around tamp mall, at the same time catch up with happenings in each other'z life. Actually is worried for her coz she has been terribly ill recently but i only knew what happened afterwards.. i suppose even when you didn see somebody for very long time, you will still expect her to be well n everything but it may not be the case.
Irene came to find us at Ding Tai Fung where we ordered fried rice, fried pork soup noodle and xiao long baos to share. The fried rice is finger-licking gd! but the noodle n xiao long baos are so-so bah.. I say the xiao long baos do not have enough juice inside.. after filling up our stomachs, we went to do what we usually do last time- take neoprints! haha that is so over le rite.. but fun leh.. we morphed into giggly teenage girls when we choosing the background n stuff.. Really lor.. reminds me so much of the days when neoprints were still the rage. We took neoprints almost everyday then went sch to share n distribute wif frenz. haha those were the days.. when i am free, i will take them out to see and all the memories came back with it. Oso tot of how much money i spent on these! lol.. irene ah, dunno why keep closing her big eyes when the shots are taken. We have limited shots to choose from lor.. but they turned out fine bah.. we cant b ugly no matter what mah. *puke*

Beth'z mini chalet party / Sunday, December 17, 2006
Juz went for beth'z mini chalet party at downtown east yday. Well.. i guess the party is held for her boyfriend but hers is coming too. So i end up getting present for Beth but forget all abt her boyfriend zhong lian! oops.. luckily joon realised that it is not v good to go there empty-handed so me, joon, irene and her friend ri yang chipped in for a bottle of red wine. First, I meet up with irene and joon to go choc.a.bloc at bedok north to help beth collect the cake meant for zhong lian. Apparently their cakes are top rated by the straits times! beth ordered the Mum's Frudge. whoo the moment we stepped into the small n cosy shop, we were totally engulfed in the sweet smell of chocolate mixed with cookies. Ahh heavenly~ was really tempted by the Americano Truffle as it is made up of my fave dark chocolate! However, Irene brought me back to earth when she commented how sinful it is. haha..
Irene'z friend ri yang was really kind enough to fetch us from bedok north to downtown east. As we reached the chalet, we were all treated to homemade chicken rice. It was tasty but i was saving my stomach for the bbq food later~ Oh ya gonna tell u this really classical senerio. Because joon n me went to buy the red wine, irene n ri yang arrived earlier at the chalet. She gave the present to beth with a card. The problem is, I shared the card with irene. And the bigger problem is, I hvn wrote on it! *faint* Later we managed to steal the card back when Beth is not looking!
Irene needed to attend another friend'z party so she left n will come back at 11+.. Joon and me were not really familiar with beth'z other friends n family at first, though we know her younger bro n sis. But then her friends n family were really friendly n we didn nearly feel left out~ We tried to help out her auntie, clumsily poking chicken wings onto the bbq sticks. beth'z aunt was a pro at preparing all the bbq stuff. There were all types of sauces on the table n even garnishes available~ Whoo the bbq food didn fail my expectations.. Other than the slight chao ta, the flavouring was just nice. I liked the prawns and sotongs. Although I am not a sotong person, but the sotongs were bbq-ed to perfection which doesn have the rubbery texture! top it off with lime juice n some garnish, simply delicious! ok i am getting too carried away now..
at 10+ we were ready to give zhong lian his bday surprise~ We took out the cake from the fridge, lit the candles and proceed to ambush him at the bbq site. I think this is really special, coz actually zhong lian only got a friend who came. the rest of us were beth'z friends and family and all of us were singing bday song for him! I think he was touched by beth'z effort but he is those cool type who dun really show it. see beth n her bf so sweet~ can see that he treat her well. ooh finally get to taste the cake! All chocolatey! mmmm the outside of the cake is smeared with chocolate. The inside is moist and also has soft chocolate in between the layers! Really good~
Irene returned to the chalet and the time is ripe for some alcohol~ Beth'z friend brought this really special wine that has a creamy taste! he is called "Nancy" coz he'z such a nice guy who can do the chores.. he can b q useful! haha humorous guy too.. the thing wif me n alcohol is that my stomach started acting funny before i even felt tipsy. then my friends fuss over me coz my face was becoming red.. diaoz.. haha but nice to have friends that care lah.
In the room, irene, me, joon n zhong lian played bridge(yay i finally mastered it!). thx to irene who bring the cards. The others were studying er hu(??) or playing xbox. Irene n beth'z cousin Li Ping found out their they had a really weird common interest! I cant really understand them! haha they both love horror movies lah! then they can really excited~ Irene was at her dramatic best as she narrates the horror film Silent Hill. This is a classic irene moment: irene was excitedly blabbering horror but she screamed when beth'z sis suddenly sit up on her bed with hair falling over her face. We all fell over laughing so hard. Irene ah.. wanna scare ppl but end up scaring urself! haha even beth'z aunt also cant help laughing out!
At abt 3+ most ppl already v sleepy n cannot tahan anymore. but i came prepared not to sleep n also hard for me to sleep in cramped places. a few of us took a walk to the mart n after that we had nothing much to do so we sit around by the light near the toilet. me, joon, beth'z cousin n bro n zhe wei.. we looked a sorry lot sitting around. We chatted and basically tok lame things lah. beth'z bro jeremy was lamest~ hand it to him man! like to mimick his idol zhe wei ah.. haha zhe wei also dunno how to handle him. my stomach hurts coz laughed too much le lah! took in too much air! we pretty noisy then caused irene cannot sleep~ oops!
6+, the sleepless went down to mac to have breakfast, saw alot of "zombies" lying around there. we joined in n nuah there for half an hour then we order the food. breakfast was satisfactory.. my tummy felt abit better. beth n zhong lian came later.. wah zhong lian looked so refreshed! of course lo slept so well~ after breakfast was home sweet home! straight bus home. after shower n brushing up, popped down on my bed like a dead log!

today woke up super duper early! woke up at 10.30am! haha hey already very early for me. yea planned to go shopping wif mum today at bugis. then i walked into the living room wanna nuah awhile first, i saw my mum staring out at the window. then i heard ambulance siren.. aiyo got accident happened in front of my house. seemed q serious coz got firemen came oso.. from my flat here i cant see much n i oso dun feel good looking at other ppl'z tragedy so i went to wash up and get ready to go out.
my mum and i had to pass by the accident area when we went out so tat time then i can really see the seriousness of the accident. it'z a crash between two cars. i think 1 of the car was turning around a bend while the other which was driving str juz crashed into it. the front portion of the cars were badly damaged, like some kind of crumpled plastic. then my mum curious see see almost stepped on blood on the ground! ahh.. but the victims already sent to hospital le. haizz... be careful when driving ah.
me n my mum then proceed to bugis. first must fill up our empty tummies! so we went to the hawker centre and order our food. we shared the table with 2 men and they ate their food and left. then after that i can feel somebody sit down again and start eating at the leftover food beside me.. i looked up and see the person is not the previous one who was besides me!! got the shock of my life! i know he may juz be a poor person but cant help but be afraid lah.. i exchanged glances wif my mum but nv say anything..but tat person hurry eat le then leave..
after me n my mum start our shopping spree! we walked the whole of bugis and then go to tampines to shop again. haha we can really walk lor.. but not much results.. in the end my mum bought a green shirt while i bought 2 tops and a bag~ haha ok lah.. most impt is precious time spent wif mum lor.. this sem is like so busy. tmr gonna go out again.. hooray~

jia'z 21st bday / Monday, December 04, 2006
Attended jia'z bday party last night.. the theme is formal. haha v hard to dress up coz no money buy nice clothes and we cant dress better than jia! ya birthday girl should be prettiest so we cannot outshine her~ haha not that i can.. we went to her house early to help her out with the decorations but already got so many guys helping her liao. all her loyal servants in her kingdom all helping her so we proceed to her room to nuah~ haha spent so much time writing her autograph book and learning how to play mahjong~ i dunno what mahjong i learning but shld be v basic de..
at around 6 then we changed into our formal wear(yes we didn wear our dresses and skirts there!), actually not v formal oso. haha when i got the pics to upload then u all see lor. finally dinner starts at 7+ but before that we gave jia'z her presents- Fossil watch and Mango winter coat! both oso very nice wor~ coz the ppl helping to pick had v good taste mah..lol.. dinner was good, i ate until wanna burst. cake cutting starts at 9+.. after that we can only stay awhile longer before we have to go home le.. jia'z house is in the west so travelling takes 1 hr+ O.o by the time i reached home already 12.10am.. whoo.. then i discovered i am down wif flu and sore throat! wahhhh!!! i dun want!! wed still got yingsi'z bday~ ahh muz rest!!
then this morn i woke up early at 8.30( very early for me le) to register for 2nd phase IA registration. grr they didn give me my 10 choices~~ hai.. then nervous lor.. in the end got into Wincor Nixdorf, there are 7 other students going there. hope my supervisor will be nice person lor.. else dare not imagine 6 months of torture.. haha i v pessimistic.. k now going rest.. must get well!
