once again, it'z been a long time since i blogged. somehow, just couldn't muster the energy to blog. When i got home from work, i just wanna lay around n slack! eat n slack... that'z why basically i am turning into a pig. yea i wanna put on weight, but i am putting on weight in all the wrong places! ahh it'z nv easy to be the gentler sex..

ooh how'z chinese new year for all? Gong Xi Fa Cai! I only did manage to buy the bottom to match my top 2 days before cny. btw, am i the only singaporean who nv go to chinatown during cny period before? haha thinking of the huge crowd there scares me.. this year is fruitful year, got more hongbaos than previous years! hee..

I am settling well at work, slowly getting the hang of things. i am lucky to have a nice supervisor and colleagues have being fairly good 2 me n willing to help me along. Yay my projects are finally starting~ days are gonna get busier! haha dunno good or bad but at least got things to do.. hope not too busy until drained lo.. else how i can go out when i m tired? lol

I happened to on the tv while having my lunch and watched a film "Door to Door" depicting the life of Bill Porter- the plucky handicapped salesman who made good. I was so touched by the steely determination of this man who does not believe that he was not allowed to earn an income. he has cerebral palsy. He defied the restrictions imposed on him by society n disease. In fact, he has a cheerful outlook of life. on the way, he became part of the clients he frequently visited. I was overwhelmed by his strength to overcome obstacles.

Hey~~~ OOPs... such a long time didn blog le.. Hai IA damn tiring man! got time i will sleep sleep n sleep! Mayb not used to working yet.. n my work starts at 8am! U all shld know i am posted to Wincor Nixdorf. Basically it'z a company that manufactures ATM, kiosk machines and stuff like tat.. I am in the ATM engineering department and I am the only IA student there! I learned abt the testing and assembly of ATM machines which is interesting lo. My office is situated at the production area there so I can see first hand how ATMs are manufactured. My sup is a pretty ok person.. compared to some sups i heard of, my sup is q nice bah. he didn give me much pressure to do work and allow me to learn things at my own pace. I think now he didn hav anything for me to do yet coz projects not due to start yet. So guess what he urge me to do?? my most dreaded programming! in particular he wants me to learn ms access and vb.net so guess what? I went to the library and borrowed this huge n heavy book to read! happened that i borrowed the wrong book the first time and had to borrow again. Damn heavy books neh! And i hav to carry my laptop everyday coz my comp hvn arrived yet! -.-"" Somehow my sup knows I abit bored lah.. whole day go there study programming so he sort of keep assuring me got projects coming up.

There'z good n bad to working life, working hours are longer compared to sch but I have more time to relax. Surprisingly alot of my colleagues in my department are girls. I was expecting a male environment, being in engineering all tat. My sup'z assistant engineer is a female so I follow her and it'z she who taught me all the stuff. all of us girls all around the same age so we get along pretty well. but I miss my friends from sch neh. luckily 38club still meet up now and then so not everyday work n sleep like no life. ppl jio me leh!

Yay chinese new year coming! time to shop for clothes! And to earn some hongbao money too~ hehehe.. looking forward to the holiday! I wanna cut my hair but worried the prices are raised le.. plus I oso wanna rebond.. ppl, any advice? btw, juz watched Spore vs Msia match and Spore is in finals! woohoo.. but they gonna buck up man.. they didn play gd in the first half.. hahaha oh ya.. i add a link to my photo album browser so u guys can take a look. will be adding more pics in the future. Happy New Year 2007!! Whoo~ I really hope this year will be a prosperous year for me in terms of IA, studies, finance and love! Haa am I too greedy? I don't expect alot.. juz hope me and my family/friends can be happy and healthy! 2006 has been good and bad but it'z all over le. Looking forward to good things coming~ At the same time, realising that I am getting older doesn help. Well, we all have to grow up.. that'z part and parcel of life. I have a strong acceptance and embrace towards life! I believe life is too short for regret. Many things are not within our control but as long as we make the effort to change, it is fine whatever the outcome.


So well, the past tue I went Beth'z bday party at her house. I guess this can be considered really for her bday. We still had fun. Beth'z bro, sis and mum(her mum was really onz!) were really creative in coming up with wacky games to embarrass us! not forgetting trying to create amorous atmosphere for others! lol.. I think we made too much noise at the corridor but hey, it'z beth'z bday! We also chatted abt many things and only went home at 11.15pm.



What are they doing? haha dancing cha-cha? The horror group and the ah-hem group..

the past tue irene n i went to meet up with my long time fren winnie.. I remb winnie is the first fren i got 2 know in sec sch. All of us were showed our classroom during orientation then winnie came and asked if she could sit beside me. And the rest is history.. Our friendship has undergone many ups and downs, it is amazing that we can still pretty much tok like before.

Juz went for beth'z mini chalet party at downtown east yday. Well.. i guess the party is held for her boyfriend but hers is coming too. So i end up getting present for Beth but forget all abt her boyfriend zhong lian! oops.. luckily joon realised that it is not v good to go there empty-handed so me, joon, irene and her friend ri yang chipped in for a bottle of red wine. First, I meet up with irene and joon to go choc.a.bloc at bedok north to help beth collect the cake meant for zhong lian. Apparently their cakes are top rated by the straits times! beth ordered the Mum's Frudge. whoo the moment we stepped into the small n cosy shop, we were totally engulfed in the sweet smell of chocolate mixed with cookies. Ahh heavenly~ was really tempted by the Americano Truffle as it is made up of my fave dark chocolate! However, Irene brought me back to earth when she commented how sinful it is. haha..

Irene'z friend ri yang was really kind enough to fetch us from bedok north to downtown east. As we reached the chalet, we were all treated to homemade chicken rice. It was tasty but i was saving my stomach for the bbq food later~ Oh ya gonna tell u this really classical senerio. Because joon n me went to buy the red wine, irene n ri yang arrived earlier at the chalet. She gave the present to beth with a card. The problem is, I shared the card with irene. And the bigger problem is, I hvn wrote on it! *faint* Later we managed to steal the card back when Beth is not looking!

Irene needed to attend another friend'z party so she left n will come back at 11+.. Joon and me were not really familiar with beth'z other friends n family at first, though we know her younger bro n sis. But then her friends n family were really friendly n we didn nearly feel left out~ We tried to help out her auntie, clumsily poking chicken wings onto the bbq sticks. beth'z aunt was a pro at preparing all the bbq stuff. There were all types of sauces on the table n even garnishes available~ Whoo the bbq food didn fail my expectations.. Other than the slight chao ta, the flavouring was just nice. I liked the prawns and sotongs. Although I am not a sotong person, but the sotongs were bbq-ed to perfection which doesn have the rubbery texture! top it off with lime juice n some garnish, simply delicious! ok i am getting too carried away now..

at 10+ we were ready to give zhong lian his bday surprise~ We took out the cake from the fridge, lit the candles and proceed to ambush him at the bbq site. I think this is really special, coz actually zhong lian only got a friend who came. the rest of us were beth'z friends and family and all of us were singing bday song for him! I think he was touched by beth'z effort but he is those cool type who dun really show it. see beth n her bf so sweet~ can see that he treat her well. ooh finally get to taste the cake! All chocolatey! mmmm the outside of the cake is smeared with chocolate. The inside is moist and also has soft chocolate in between the layers! Really good~

Irene returned to the chalet and the time is ripe for some alcohol~ Beth'z friend brought this really special wine that has a creamy taste! he is called "Nancy" coz he'z such a nice guy who can do the chores.. he can b q useful! haha humorous guy too.. the thing wif me n alcohol is that my stomach started acting funny before i even felt tipsy. then my friends fuss over me coz my face was becoming red.. diaoz.. haha but nice to have friends that care lah.

In the room, irene, me, joon n zhong lian played bridge(yay i finally mastered it!). thx to irene who bring the cards. The others were studying er hu(??) or playing xbox. Irene n beth'z cousin Li Ping found out their they had a really weird common interest! I cant really understand them! haha they both love horror movies lah! then they can really excited~ Irene was at her dramatic best as she narrates the horror film Silent Hill. This is a classic irene moment: irene was excitedly blabbering horror but she screamed when beth'z sis suddenly sit up on her bed with hair falling over her face. We all fell over laughing so hard. Irene ah.. wanna scare ppl but end up scaring urself! haha even beth'z aunt also cant help laughing out!

At abt 3+ most ppl already v sleepy n cannot tahan anymore. but i came prepared not to sleep n also hard for me to sleep in cramped places. a few of us took a walk to the mart n after that we had nothing much to do so we sit around by the light near the toilet. me, joon, beth'z cousin n bro n zhe wei.. we looked a sorry lot sitting around. We chatted and basically tok lame things lah. beth'z bro jeremy was lamest~ hand it to him man! like to mimick his idol zhe wei ah.. haha zhe wei also dunno how to handle him. my stomach hurts coz laughed too much le lah! took in too much air! we pretty noisy then caused irene cannot sleep~ oops!

6+, the sleepless went down to mac to have breakfast, saw alot of "zombies" lying around there. we joined in n nuah there for half an hour then we order the food. breakfast was satisfactory.. my tummy felt abit better. beth n zhong lian came later.. wah zhong lian looked so refreshed! of course lo slept so well~ after breakfast was home sweet home! straight bus home. after shower n brushing up, popped down on my bed like a dead log!
